History
Founded on January 15, 1973, Importavia Aviacopters began as an air school in order to transmit and train future pilots from Guatemala. Importavia is today a Guatemalan company dedicated to the commercialization and operation of aircraft. Since 1977 he has been the exclusive representative of Robinson Helicopter Company for Guatemala, thus being the first Robinson representative in Central America. ​​

Robinson Helicopters is currently the leading private helicopter distribution company with five rotorcraft models: R22, R44 Cadet, R44 Raven I, R44 Raven II and R66.
Importavia is also the only legitimate distributor of Rolls Royce engines in the country.

With more than 50 years of experience, Importavia has more than 20 specialists and passionate high-level professionals dedicated to excellence in the care, repair and helicopter maintenance.
Our Founder

Captain Alberto Molina was considered one of the best aviator pilots of his time and of the history of Aviation in Guatemala. Along with his wife Sonia Coronado, they managed to found and maintain an aviation distribution company for more than 47 years.
He successfully applied for a pilot scholarship in the United States Air Force.
He graduated with honors and recognition as an Aviator Pilot from the US Air Force in San Antonio Texas USA and served in the Guatemalan Air Force.

He served for ten years in the Guatemalan Air Force as part of the pilots trained in the US for services in the Fighter and Interception Squadron of the Guatemalan Air Force. Add thousands of hours of flight and experience.

In 1967 he retired from the air force as a Captain and from that moment began his career as a private pilot, providing services such as Fumigator Pilot, Private and Commercial Licensed Aircraft Instructor Pilot, Private Flight Pilot. Fixed-wing and rotary-wing flight instrument instructor pilot. It carries out route flights and imports of aircraft, maintaining its licenses approved by the AA and Civil Aeronautics of Guatemala.
